When should I choose Roller blinds?
Roller blinds are the best choice for bedrooms (with blackout fabric for complete darkness) and office spaces that need controlled privacy. Excellent for nurseries, home cinemas and hotel rooms. Functionally simpler than zebra — up and down, without intermediate positions for light control. If you want a middle position (partial light), consider zebra or dual-roller blinds.

How they work
A roller blind is a single fabric rolled onto an aluminium tube. A chain, cord or motor rolls the fabric up or down along the window. A spring or gear mechanism holds the fabric in any position. It can be mounted on a cornice, the window frame or directly on the wall — as an open type or closed (with a cassette). The fabric is chosen by daily need: sheer, dimout or full blackout.

What the price depends on
Roller blinds are priced per square metre, and the fabric matters most: standard fabrics are the most affordable, blackout fabrics cost a little more, and premium brands (Bandalux, Giardino) and motorised mechanisms raise the price. Price includes on-site measurement, manufacturing and installation — no extra costs.
Frequently asked questions
Which mechanism should I pick — chain or motor?
Chain is proven and cheaper, works for years without batteries. Motor is recommended for windows over 2.5 m, hard-to-reach spots (above a bed), or when you want central control of multiple blinds from one switch.
Does blackout mean 100% blackout?
Blackout fabric is 100% opaque. However, some light can leak around the window edges due to the natural frame gap. For complete darkness we recommend mounting outside the window frame (not inside it).
How are roller blinds maintained?
Regular dusting with an antistatic cloth. For deeper cleaning — lukewarm water with mild soap (no fabric softener); the fabric can be unrolled and wiped. Do not soak in water.
