How they work
A zebra blind is a single fabric with alternating sheer and opaque horizontal bands. A chain or motorised mechanism moves the fabric up and down inside an aluminium cassette. When the opaque bands line up, you get full privacy and blackout; when they shift so the sheer bands overlap, light flows through naturally. The fabric is 100% polyester with antistatic and antibacterial coating, resistant to fading and UV.
When to choose
Zebra blinds are a universal solution for living rooms, kitchens, offices and commercial spaces where flexible light control throughout the day is important. Recommended for standard windows (up to 2.5 m per blind) in modern apartments and houses. For full blackout in a bedroom, choose Blackout Zebra or roller blinds. For wide windows over 2.5 m — consider Vertical Zebra blinds.

Zebra blinds are priced per square metre, and the price depends on the fabric, the type of cassette (standard white/cream or colour-matched), window height and whether you choose a manual or motorised mechanism. Minimum calculation area is 1.5 × 1.5 m (2.25 m²). The price already includes the on-site visit, measurement, manufacturing and installation — no hidden costs. How is the area of a zebra blind calculated?
Width and height are measured on-site. Minimum calculation is 1.5 × 1.5 m (2.25 m²), even if the window is smaller. For a 1.2 × 1.0 m window (1.2 m²), the calculation still uses 2.25 m².
Does the fabric fade in sunlight?
The fabrics have UV protection with standard resistance. For south-facing rooms with direct sunlight we recommend dark or blackout variants for a longer lifespan.
Can I replace just the fabric?
Yes. If the cassette and mechanism are fine, only the fabric can be replaced — much cheaper than a new set. You just need to tell us the dimensions of the existing cassette.
