  • Wide fabric choice
  • Classic, timeless look

When should I choose Roman blinds?

Roman blinds are an excellent middle ground between formal drapes and modern roller blinds — giving classic warmth without visual bulk. Ideal for living rooms, bedrooms (with blackout lining) and kitchens (with washable fabrics). Perfect for standard windows (60-180 cm wide) where you want fabric warmth without a classic curtain rod with rings.

How they work

A Roman blind is a panel of fabric with horizontal rods on the back at fixed intervals. With a chain or motor, a cord runs through the fabric and pulls it up, creating precise harmonious folds that stack on top of each other. When fully open it looks like a flat panel (or with light vertical pleats in the hobbled variant). When lowered it covers the entire window like a classic curtain.

What the price depends on

Roman blinds are priced per square metre, and the price depends on the fabric (standard, premium or blackout-lined), variant (flat — standard horizontal folds, or hobbled — with permanent small pleats) and mechanism (chain vs motor). Price includes measurement, manufacturing and installation.

Frequently asked questions

Can a Roman blind have blackout?

Yes — we make Roman blinds with blackout lining bonded to the back, providing complete darkness. Ideal for bedrooms where you want fabric elegance instead of a classic roller.

How many folds are recommended for a standard window?

For a 1.5 m tall window we recommend 4-5 folds for an elegant look without overload. We adapt to proportions on-site.

Can the fabrics be washed?

Depends on the fabric. Cotton and linen can be machine-washed at 30°C; silk and polyester — dry cleaning only. We attach a care label to every blind.
