Vertical blind repair
With vertical blinds a louvre commonly falls off its carrier or the rotation fails. We replace the carriers (clips) and the gear mechanism for even turning.
Common faults we fix
- A louvre has fallen off or hangs crooked from its carrier
- Rotation doesn't work — the louvres won't turn together
- The bottom chain or weights are broken
- The louvres won't align when closing
How we repair it
We replace the broken carriers (clips) at the top of the louvres, service or replace the rotation gear mechanism and restore the bottom chain/weights. After the repair we check that all louvres turn and align together.
Frequently asked questions
One louvre fell — can just that one be put back?
Yes. Usually the carrier (clip) at the top is broken; we replace it and the louvre is back. If the louvre is damaged, it's replaced individually.
The louvre rotation doesn't work — what is it?
The gear mechanism in the top rail is worn or jammed. We service or replace it — the louvres turn together again.
