## How it works
Pleated blinds are made from precisely pleated fabric fixed between two thin aluminium rails. Movement is via cord or handle — the rails come together and the blind stacks to a 2-3 cm compact height. Options include free-hang, top-down, or both combined for maximum flexibility. Mounting can be drill-in on the frame or drill-free (with clips that clamp to the glazing bead).

## Best for
Pleated blinds are the best choice for skylight and roof windows (Velux, Roto, Fakro), non-standard shapes (trapezoid, triangular, semicircular), and panoramic glazing flooded with light. Excellent for houses with attic (low-ceiling) windows, hotels with atypical architecture and loft apartments. The slim profile saves space and doesn't visually shrink the room.

Pleated blinds are priced per square metre, and the price depends on the fabric and the precision the build requires. Atypical shapes (trapezoids, triangles) carry a surcharge for the extra complexity, and top-down and dual-direction pleated blinds cost a little more. Price includes precise measurement with a template (for atypical shapes), manufacturing and installation.

### Can pleated blinds be installed without drilling?
Yes. For PVC windows with glass in a frame we have special spring-loaded clips that fix onto the glazing bead without drilling. Ideal for rentals or if you don't want to damage the frame.

### How long do they last on skylight windows with direct sun?
The fabric has enhanced UV resistance. With proper installation and regular maintenance, 8-12 year lifespan. For the most exposed windows we recommend dual-fabric (day/night pleated) with a reflective side.

### Can you make a pleated blind for a semicircular window?
Yes — we make pleated blinds for round, semicircular and elliptical windows with fixed radial pleats. Requires a custom template measurement on-site.
